Dive deep into the Costa Brava
Diving in the Costa Brava is an unforgettable experience that will highlight your trip to this Mediterranean coastline. There are hundreds of diving centers offering from introductory dives to deep-sea trips, so we recommend choosing based on your experience and needs to make the experience truly memorable.
One of the best diving spots on the Costa Brava is Aiguablava beach, located just a 20-minute drive from Mas de Torrent Hotel & Spa. This beautiful cove has kept all its Mediterranean charm and essence, which makes it an ideal setting for this aquatic activity: turquoise waters, extensive seagrass meadows, a rich marine floor, and even archaeological remains of great historical value. There are two diving centers in the area that, apart from offering dives near the beach, organize trips to nearby points of interest such as Els Canons de Tamariu, Illa Negra, or Illa Gavina.
Further north, you will find another equally ideal natural spot for diving: the coastal area surrounding the Cap de Creus natural park. Here you can discover large walls of gorgonians and red coral, as well as observe in their natural habitat some of the species that make up the rich Mediterranean marine fauna, such as lobsters, groupers, eels and barracudas, among others.
Kayaking along the Costa Brava
If you prefer to discover the coast from the surface, from Platja Fonda, just a 15-minute drive from Mas de Torrent Hotel & Spa, you can get on wonderful kayaking excursions along the Costa Brava. Heading south from this beautiful sandy beach, you will reach Platja de Fornells, an intimate spot with fine sand surrounded by rocks where you can beach your kayak and stroll along the seaside path that borders the coast, therefore gaining a unique perspective of the Costa Brava shoreline.
For the more adventurous and sporty ones willing to take on longer distances, we recommend paddling up to the Semáforo de Begur to admire this beautiful building from the sea. Inaugurated in the 19th century to guide maritime traffic, this route is not only a physical challenge but also an opportunity to enjoy the rich maritime history of the Costa Brava.
Ride the Mediterranean waves with water sports on the Costa Brava
Since the early 90s, surfing has grown to become one of the favorite water activities for visitors to the Costa Brava. This area features some of the best beaches for this sport and its different versions: windsurfing, wingfoiling, kitesurfing, bodyboarding, and more.
One of our favorites is La Fosca Beach, a sandy stretch with a spectacular natural setting that includes cliffs, Mediterranean forest areas, caves, and stunning views. Moreover, it is just a 15-minute drive from our 5-star hotel on the Costa Brava, Mas de Torrent Hotel & Spa, where you can conclude a fantastic day of water sports on the Costa Brava with all kinds of exclusive wellness treatments and a visit to the water and relaxation area.
