Most beautiful coves in Costa Brava
Cala Pola (Tossa de Mar)
Near the town of Tossa de Mar we find this famous cove located in a privileged natural environment. It is one of the most popular coves on the Costa Brava due to its easy access and beautiful landscape surrounded by rocky cliffs. A welcoming spot that also has restaurant services and showers, perfect for enjoying a day out with the family.
Cala Sa Tuna (Begur)
Probably the best-known cove in Begur, this small cove on the Costa Brava is lined with old fishermen's houses, offering an iconic postcard of the Mediterranean. It is easily accessible but very quiet due to its sheltered location and peaceful waters.
Cala Sa Caleta (Lloret de Mar)
Just at the end of Lloret de Mar's Playa Gran is this golden sandy cove crowned by the Castle d’en Plaja. The cove is easily accessible on foot along the Camino de Ronda and is shallow, which makes it very popular with beachgoers. One of its charms is the fishermen's boats that gather here before going out to sea, an unforgettable sight on the Costa Brava!
Cala Jugadora (Cadaqués)
In Cap de Creus, a few kilometres from the beautiful town of Cadaqués, is one of the most beautiful coves on the Costa Brava. Cala Jugadora is an almost virgin paradise shaped by the vegetation and rocks surrounding it, which protect the beach from the strong Tramuntana winds. Its turquoise waters and white sand make it an idyllic place to spend the day.
Cala Aiguablava (Begur)
Cala Aiguablava is considered by many to be the most beautiful beach on the Costa Brava, you just have to look at its beauty and clear waters! It is also a good place to try scuba diving in the Costa Brava.
Cala del Pi (Platja d’Aro)
Considered one of the best beaches in Europe, this cove on the Costa Brava stands out for its beautiful rocky seabed and the pine forest that surrounds it. Access to this cove is more limited than usual, as you have to climb down a steep stone staircase to reach it, so it is the ideal secret corner for a quiet day at the beach.
Cala Canyet (Sant Feliu de Guíxols)
Accessible by the road linking Tossa de Mar and Sant Feliu de Guíxols, this cove of coarse sand has a reef area that makes it highly recommended for snorkellers and divers. Surrounded by steep cliffs, the cove is very small and has no services.
Cala Belladona (Platja d’Aro)
Protected from the wind by the huge rocks that surround it, Cala Belladona is the perfect place for sunbathing and swimming. It is usually a very quiet spot due to its secluded nature. It is also one of the few dog-friendly beaches on the Costa Brava, so you can access with your furry friend.
Cala S’Alguer (Palamós)
To the north of the town of Palamós is this small, rocky cove, a secret hidden among the coves of the Costa Brava. Barely 30 metres long and surrounded by a charming group of white fishermen's cottages, Cala S'Alguer offers a perfect snapshot of the Mediterranean. It can be reached via the Camino de Ronda, a highly recommended route for its spectacular views.
